Let Me Help You.. Pride Explained..
What is pride? (bible definition)

pride, insolence, presumptuousness, arrogance

  1. per online dictionary:

pride: the quality or state of being proud: such as
a: reasonable self-esteem : confidence and satisfaction in oneself

Pride doesn't allow one to acknowledge God or serve Him purely. This is why the direction one is going it reveals the conditions of their character. In most cases pride is also a friend to unforgiveness. A person consumed by pride shows no concern of being set free.

They lack any genuine desire of changing their behavior. Pride also leads to spiritual blindness, making it difficult to acknowledge or recognize their behavior. Instead, they respond with offense that reveals a hardness of heart. Without repentance this spiritual condition can result in physical consequences.

One example is the onset of an sudden illness they quickly attribute to family history: “Someone else in my family had it.” But what does that have to do with you? Do you accept an illness just because another relative dealt with it? Make it make sense. This is also evidence that faith is not present in their life. That kind of reasoning reveals a lack of faith, which prevents them from being in a position to please God.

Their denial keeps them from repentance and leaves them under the enemy’s influence, blocking their way to full restoration. The results of their emptiness is what they're putting before God to hide their resentment. One clear way to know pride is present in someone's life is an unwillingness to take accountability for their actions, while depending on worldly solutions to solve their inability to perceive spiritually.

Ultimately, refusing to let the Heavenly Father intervene in their life, can cause a grave detriment to themselves. This leaves no room for God's transformative power to work in their life. The fear of the Lord is to also hate pride.

In Closing,
Never give up on a person just because they refuse to choose themselves. Your obedience in prayer can help deliver them. Nothing is impossible for God. Your belief in Him can help free them.
